Looking for clean, smoke-free, potent design, and concepts and writing from a creative director that are on target, on time all the time and under budget?
John is a 15+ year veteran looking to return to working for an already successful or up-and-coming company or similarly, an agency/design shop after a five year tour of duty on his own. He’s a very easy-to-work-with, fun, conceptual and creative professional who knows tight budgets and crazy deadlines (didn’t say he likes ‘em). Responsive to a fault, a trusted advisor to clients as well as internal teams, he’s equally comfortable and effective with directing creative personnel as he is with a variety of hands-on assignments.
Brought up on print, John effortlessly transitioned to designing large and small websites, multimedia interfaces and other pixel projects. He doesn’t do web programming for the simple reason that he doesn’t do printing either, preferring to focus on design and the “Idea” and leaving that production to those experts. John has created many trade show and demonstration exhibits that broke the mold and achieved high attendance. He enjoys brewing concepts and writing ads and blurbs. He prides himself on a firm but accessible management style, good grammar in copy work, great typography and smart color applications.
He rode the Cluetrain. Luke Sullivan and Tom Monahan are two top picks in his well of inspiration and have a place in your business as well.
Outside of the daily gig, John’s most proud of his two outstanding teens who are doing so well in life. He’s a living room acoustic guitarist and loves hiking and nature. For fun, he drives a grin-inducing genuine British right hand drive Austin Mini. At least he used to.
